It’s All About Me!

Hi I am Karly and I live in a small town of about 600
people called Creede Colorado. I am 16,
and a sophomore at Creede High School. I play volleyball, basketball, soccer,
track, and cheerleading. We didn’t have
a girl’s basketball team this year because there weren’t enough people that
wanted to play. My favorite sport is volleyball
though.
During the summer Creede is a
tourist town and tons of Texans come to spend the summer here. It is very easy
to get jobs in the summer because of all the gift shops that are only open
during tourist season. But in the
winter Creede is very quiet and you can walk down the middle of Main Street. You can also go hiking, hunting, and
fishing, but I don’t have enough patience to go fishing and I don’t like
hunting.
The nearest mall is in Pueblo,
Colorado, about 3 hours away. We don’t
even have a Wal-Mart; the nearest one of those is in Alamosa, Colorado, an hour
and a half away. If we want to go to
the movies or eat at any fast food restaurants we have to drive at least an
hour to Monte Vista.
The scenery here is very pretty
but it never gets very warm. During July we occasionally hit 80˚ but
that’s rare. When I go to college I
want to move someplace warmer, I hate the snow.
